Book Summary
Dylan was biking slowly home from town when he spots a stray dog and immediately falls in love with him. He names the dog Brave.
When Dylan takes Brave home, a loud noise startles Brave and he panics. Brave destroys his moms new couch and runs away to the Garcia Ranch, where a girl named Grace helps him catch Brave. Grace offers to help train Brave in exchange for Dylan’s help cleaning up rubbish from a hurricane.
Dylan’s mom, however, is horrified. She decides to take Brave to the animal shelter, but there is no room! Dylan’s mom agrees to keep Brave for two weeks, and if he isn’t trained by then, Brave has to go to the shelter.
Dylan is ecstatic to be able to keep Brave, but he is also discouraged. How will he and Grace be able to train Brave not to be scared of loud noises and to obey commands in just two short weeks?

Brave is a pretty good dog rescue and adventure book.
You would like this book if you like adventurous books about rescue dogs. There are three more books in this series. I recommend them for kids ages 8 and up.
