Book Summary
Julie lost her mom when she was only four-years-old. Her father took her to the seal camp right after, where she lived until she was nine. Then her aunt took her away to go to school.
Julie’s father arranged for her to marry Daniel, whom she had never met, when she was 13-years-old. Although it was better than living with Aunt Martha, Daniel was dull.
After being attacked by him one night, she ran away and headed to her pen pal’s house in San Fransisco.
Seven days into her journey, Julie got lost, ran out of food, and is next to a pack of wolves out in the Alaskan tundra.
How will Julie ever survive the Alaskan wilderness?
Can she befriend the wolves so they can trust her?

This is a wild animal adventure book that will keep you reading and might make you want to go to Alaska.
I give it three stars. It is a good book for animal lovers and kids interested in survival stories.
I would suggest this book for ages 10 and up.
