Genre: Historical Fiction

Book Summary
Ranger is a golden retriever with a first aid kit that can transport him through time whenever someone desperately needs help.
This time, Ranger is transported to New Orleans where Hurricane Katrina is about to strike. He meets Clara and her grandmother, and together they wait for her father to come back from getting gas.
Time passes, and he still isn’t back. Hurricane Katrina unleashes its full fury on New Orleans. The levee breaks, letting water pour everywhere. They have to go up to the attic to escape all the water.
After a day, their neighbor comes to rescue them, but he only has room for her grandmother on board. Clara finds her father’s fishing boat and decides to try to navigate the flooded waters to safety.
Will she ever find her father and grandmother again?
