Book review of Summer with the Moodys by Sarah Maxwell, part of Josie’s Joyful Book Reviews for Kids.

Full Book Title: Summer with the Moodys
Series: Moody Family Series
Book: #1
Genre: Christian Fiction, Children’s Realistic Fiction
Book Summary
The Moodys are a loving, Christian homeschool family with four children. The oldest three children, Max, Molly, and Mitch, decide to start pet-sitting and baking businesses.
They are surprised when their first customer is Snickers, a rat! Their first baking order is gingersnaps, but Molly forgets to put in the baking soda and they turn into gingerbrickets!
Through their business, they get to know an older neighbor who has a golden retriever named Honey. After meeting her, the children realize how badly they want a puppy. Will God answer their prayers for a puppy?
Josie’s Thoughts
I give this book a 5/5 because I like that it’s about a Christian homeschool family. I also like that when the kids make mistakes, they want to correct them, so they are good role models.
This book inspired my brother and me to set up our own pet-sitting and baking businesses. I also like that it’s a longer book and part of a series.
I hope this book will inspire you too!
