If it’s crunch time and you need the easiest way to earn money fast, these money-making ideas are for you.
1. Make Money Taking Surveys
While taking surveys will not replace a full-time income, you can make easy extra money. Plus, these are things you can do even if you’re pregnant, on bedrest, or just killing time in the waiting room for your appointments. But are there legitimate survey companies? You bet! There are six listed below.
Tip: Create an email address just for taking surveys or create a filter so all messages from survey companies go to a specific folder. That way you can check that spot once or twice per day when you’re ready for survey activities without filling your main inbox with survey offers.
Four Best Legitimate Online Survey Companies:
Pinecone Research is a trusted leader in the survey panel industry. This site pays you $3 for every survey you take and you only need a $3 balance to get paid. There is a specific app for Pinecone Research too, so you can take surveys anytime you have a few spare minutes.
Pinecone is also great because you can get paid by direct deposit or gift cards and it seems to pay much faster than other survey sites.
Swagbucks is another site where you can get paid up to $35 per survey. I love cashing in my points for fun money to spend on Amazon. (Diapers and wipes on Amazon Prime Subscribe and Save is a lifesaver as a mom!)
You can also rack up points by:
- watching videos
- playing games
- using the Swagbucks search engine for your internet browsing
- adding the Swagbucks button to your internet browser
Survey Junkie is another survey site to make money while pregnant. Survey Junkie is known for offering high points for their surveys and a good user experience on their site. They are also generous with points by giving you a few points even if you get disqualified from a survey (which not every site does). Once you reach $10, you can cash out your points for money.
2. Earn Money With Rebate & Cashback Apps
For an easy way to earn money, make sure you’re getting as much cash back you can on your purchases by using the best cashback tools. You can get great rebates on groceries, cleaning supplies, toiletries, clothes, travel, memberships, pet supplies, wine, and more.
EBATES – Get big fat checks in the mail or a PayPal deposit every 3 months simply for clicking a button before you make online purchases.
Thousands of stores offer $1-40% cashback for things you’re already buying. Once you begin, you’ll wish you had started using it years ago!
Ibotta – Get easy money back for things you buy anyway–milk, bread, crackers, toilet paper, baby wipes, formula, beer.
Simply take pictures of your receipts to redeem the rebates and you’ll get real money back via PayPal, Venmo, or gift cards.
Ibotta gives new members a $10 Welcome Bonus just for signing up.
Swagbucks – Sometimes you can earn a higher percentage back on your purchases if you go through Swagbucks instead of EBATES.
If you sign up for Swagbucks you can compare the cashback offers and see which shopping site will save you more money. Either way, it’s a super easy way to make money on things you’re already buying anyway.
I usually redeem my Swagbucks points for Amazon gift cards or treat my hunter husband with a Cabela’s card.
3. Sell Anything You Don’t Need or Love
If you’re pregnant and need money super fast, sell anything you don’t need or love. You would be surprised what people will pay for. Your clothes. Your purses. Holiday decorations. Your plasma. I made over $200 last month selling stuff on Facebook that I almost just donated.
In addition to Facebook Marketplace and local buy & sell groups, you can make money while pregnant selling stuff on:
- ThredUP – An online thrift store where you can downsize your clothes and make money in three easy steps
- Decluttr – Sell your books, CDs, phones, LEGOs and more to make money fast by decluttering
- eBay – Learn how to profit thousands from the flipping furniture you have or can find for cheap.
- Craigslist – Check out these 5 tips for successful selling on Craigslist.
- Amazon – Start your own FBA business and sell on Amazon
- Etsy – Crafty? Create and sell digital or craft projects on Etsy.
- Skillshare has training on how to use your skills and make a popular Etsy shop. Take this class completely free when you Start a risk-free TWO week trial of Skillshare.

Best Jobs For Pregnant Women That Can Be Careers
If you’re not in a rush for money but you’re looking for a flexible work-from-home job you can do while pregnant and continue to make money as a stay-at-home mom after your baby is born, here are four of the best options:
- Writing Books
A Freelancer is a self-employed person who offers a service in exchange for pay. Freelancers often work with multiple clients at one time–often small business owners.
Freelancing is one of the best jobs for pregnant women for three reasons:
- You have more control and flexibility both during pregnancy and after your baby is born
- You have the best odds for making legitimate money from freelance work
- It’s the fastest way to make real money online
- It doesn’t involve hosting parties and joining an MLM
Here are just a few of the many services you could offer as a freelancer:
4. Virtual Assistant
If you’re a fan of office work, there’s no shame in that. In fact, your skills are in demand–virtually! With the massive growth of online business, there’s also an explosion of need for Virtual Assistants. I see posts looking to hire virtual assistants every single week in my Facebook groups…and I’m not even searching for that information!
Some virtual assistants provide customer service or check emails, but there are hundreds of services a virtual assistant can do. From video editing to proofreading and graphic design. Virtual Assistants can work remotely and start out earning $20-35 per hour.
5. Freelance Writer
Blogs need to keep putting new content out to the world to keep people engaged. But it can be hard to come up with the time and ideas. Plus, it’s nice to have a fresh perspective once in a while.
So as a Freelance Writer, you could write blog posts in exchange for money. I personally know moms who earn several thousand dollars per month as freelance writers and ghostwriters.
6. Freelance Proofreader or Editor
If you cannot help but correct the typos and grammar errors you see around you, then perhaps you need to be a Proofreader or Editor. Turn that skill into a money-making skill you can do on your own schedule.
There are plenty of people who will pay for your eagle eyes. I’ve edited and proofread books, blogs, online course material and more.

7. Social Media Manager
With the rising popularity of social media, everyone from one-person blog owners to multi-billion dollar companies rely on someone to help manage and grow their social presence.
Social Media Management is such a popular way virtual assistants earn money, that it’s one of the specialized tracks and skills courses in the Fully Booked Virtual Assistant program.
8. Freelance Graphic Designer
An excellent job for pregnant women who are skilled at designing is a Freelance Graphic Designer.
Many people and businesses hire graphic designers to create logos, business card designs, images for social media, brochures, advertisements, postcard designs, and more.
If you have graphic design skills, you can make money while pregnant as a freelancer.
9. Freelance Bookkeeper
If you know how to reconcile a bank account, are comfortable with technology and accounting software, and you have strong communication skills, then maybe being a Virtual Bookkeeper is a good way to make money while pregnant…and after.
With a quick search, I found hundreds of bookkeeping jobs on FlexJobs, where they filter all the job listings to weed out any scams.
10. Freelance Videographer
Videographers are often hired to capture special events or to create promotional videos for marketing purposes. This job has enormous potential for growth because, as you’ve probably noticed, videos are what capture our attention now. One scroll through your Facebook news feed and you’ll see video after video.
And video skills are not skills many business owners have. So if you are pregnant and need money fast and you have video-making skills in your toolbox, then start raking in the money creating amazing videos.
11. Freelance Website Designer
Another way you can make money as a creative with flexible hours is as a Website Designer. A business without a website is missing out on huge growth potential. (This would be a perfect client to approach, by the way.) If you have design and tech skills that you love to use designing websites, then you could make money fast because there are MANY people looking for someone to help them make their website look better/more professional/prettier/easier-to-read/etc.
12. Freelance Photographer
Love taking pictures? Get paid for it!
People love pictures. From pregnancy photos to sweet newborn shots, high school senior pictures to happily engaged couples, college athletes to authors. It seems like people are hiring photographers every few months to capture the right photo.
So if you have the skills to take amazing pictures, working as a Freelance Photographer is a job you could start while pregnant and continue for years after your baby is born.
This guy transformed his photography side hustle from $30k per year to $30k in one day!
This is just scratching the surface of freelancing opportunities. If you want to know the 10 steps I took to start freelancing from home, you need to check out the checklist and resources for finding opportunities in my Free Resource Library.
If you love to write, want to work for yourself, you have tech-skills, you are willing to “figure things out,” and you understand that it’s not going to be fast money, then blogging is a legitimate income option for pregnant women.
While blogs used to just be online diaries, they are now used as a marketing tool for businesses and can even be a business in itself. Most people earn money faster freelancing than blogging, hence why we put those ideas first.
If you start a blog at the beginning of your pregnancy, you could start to earn money by the time baby is here (this is not a guarantee, just my own experience).

You could be a Coach for anything you are passionate about and turn it into a way to consistently make more money.
If you’re a good listener and people often come to you for advice, maybe becoming a life coach, parent coach, fitness coach, or a health coach would be a good job for you.
You can write a book and publish it on Amazon to make extra money, even while you’re pregnant!
I officially became an author on my second baby’s due date. It took me about 6 months to complete my book about how to wipe out debt fast, and I was 40-weeks pregnant when I hit publish.
P.S. I wish I had known I was going to publicly share this picture. I had no intention of it when my husband took it. We just wanted to capture that special moment when I received my book in the mail. I finally felt like a legit author! Had I known, I would have put makeup on or something…but that is the real me. Super pregnant in a T-shirt, yoga pants, and all.

Pregnant And Need A Job ASAP
If you’re pregnant and looking for a way to make money soon that you’ll be able to continue after your baby is here, these are excellent options:
Someone who turns audio files into text is called a Transcriptionist. This would be good for someone who has a quiet place to work, is skilled at listening carefully, and can type quickly. If that describes you, here are transcriptionist jobs that require no experience.
16. Professional Organizer
Have that pantry that’s perfectly organized? A neatly labeled craft room? Always getting compliments on how organized and tidy your things look? Start a side hustle as a Professional Organizer.
People will happily pay you to organize their chaos. Grab your label maker, baskets, and bins and help someone organize their life–and get paid for it. Start by asking those you know personally or professionally to see if anyone is interested in your service and what they’d be willing to pay.
17. Pre/Postnatal Fitness Instructor
If you have a fitness background or are willing to get training, you can teach prenatal yoga or other prenatal/postnatal fitness classes while you are pregnant. Just talk to your doctor first before doing any changes to your exercise routine while pregnant.
18. Reservations Agent
A Reservations Sales Agent is someone who helps customers set up reservations for things like hotels, flights, rental cars, and more. Companies like American Airlines and AAA are some of the bigger companies that are starting to hire people remotely to do this job.
19. Teacher & Online Course Creator
Another way you can make money while pregnant is as an Online Instructor. You would teach what you know, bundle it into an online course, and sell it on a website like Skillshare or Udemy.
What can you teach? Anything! A few category examples are:
- beauty & makeup
- arts & crafts
- organization tips
- productivity hacks
- nutrition & wellness
- mindfulness & meditation
- and a ton more.
Even if there’s already a course on the topic you know well, there’s always room for competition. Make your course better or price it lower and you’re in the game. An online course is something you could create once and sell over and over again, even while you’re sleeping.
20. Customer Service Rep
If you love talking on the phone and helping people, you can work from home (or anywhere that meets the requirements) as a Call Center Representative. Here is one place you can find customer service work-from-home opportunities from a reputable company that has thousands of independent agents working through them. You’d get to set your own schedule and the application process takes a couple of weeks.
21. Direct Sales
You’ve probably bought items from a Multi-Level Marketing Representative and company before. Things like LipSense, Thirty-one bags, Rodan & Fields face products, Young Living essential oils, Mary Kay makeup, Stella & Dot jewelry, Thrive shakes, Pampered Chef kitchen gadgets…
If there’s a product line you absolutely love and are passionate about, check into becoming a distributor and selling those things to your friends, family, people in your community, or even online. Check the fine print first so you know the upfront or ongoing investment required before you dive in. If it makes sense, dive in and sell away!
A popular job for pregnant women, stay-at-home moms, and even grandmas is to Babysit or Run an In-Home Daycare. As long as we keep having children, there will continue to be demand for trustworthy childcare providers.
Care.com is a popular site for finding people who are looking for childcare. Of course, you can also find kiddos by word of mouth or Facebook too. This is a way you can help other families while taking care of your own children too.
23. Online Test Assessor
Another completely online job for pregnant women could be a Test Scorer. These are the people who grade standardized tests, such as the PRAXIS. See if there’s an online test scoring opportunity for you here.
