Pregnant And Need A Job ASAP That I Can Continue
If you’re pregnant and looking for a way to make money soon that you’ll be able to continue after your baby is here, these are excellent options:
1. Type What You Hear
Someone who turns audio files into text is called a Transcriptionist. This would be good for someone who has a quiet place to work, is skilled at listening carefully, and can type quickly. If that describes you, here are transcriptionist jobs that require no experience.
2. Organize Chaos
Have that pantry that’s perfectly organized? A neatly labeled craft room? Always getting compliments on how organized and tidy your things look? Start a side hustle as a Professional Organizer.
People will seriously pay you to organize their chaos. Grab your label maker, baskets, and bins and help someone organize their life–and get paid for it. Start by asking those you know personally or professionally to see if anyone is interested in your service and what they’d be willing to pay.
If you’re like me and you cannot help but walk through life correcting the typos and grammar errors you see around you, then perhaps you need to be a Proofreader. Turn that skill into a job you can do from home. As someone who edited and proofread books, blogs, online course material and more, there are plenty of people who will pay for your eagle eyes. Check out these proofreading jobs on Upwork, FlexJobs, or Scribendi to find your first client.
4. Get Paid To Exercise
If you have a fitness background or you’re interested in getting training first, you can teach prenatal yoga or other prenatal/postnatal fitness classes while you are pregnant. Just talk to your doctor first before doing any changes to your exercise routine while pregnant.
5. Make Reservations
A Reservations Sales Agent is someone who helps customers set up reservations for things like hotels, flights, rental cars, and more. Companies like American Airlines and AAA are some of the bigger companies that are starting to hire people remotely to do this job.
6. Teach Through An Online Course
Another way you can make money while pregnant is as an Online Instructor. You would teach what you know, bundle it into an online course, and sell it on a website like Udemy.
What can you teach? Udemy is a site that boasts you can “learn anything.” A few category examples are: beauty & makeup, arts & crafts, sales, nutrition, music, productivity, stress management, and a ton more. Even if there’s already a course on the topic you know well, there’s always room for competition. Make your course better or price it lower and you’re still in the game.
Here’s more information on becoming an instructor and reasons why you should be selling courses on Udemy. While you’re there, grab the free resource for finding a Bestselling Course Idea in under 15 minutes. An online course is something you could create once and sell over and over again, even while you’re sleeping (aka passive income!).
7. Help People On The Phone
If you love talking on the phone and helping people, you can work from home (or anywhere that meets the requirements) as a Call Center Representative. Here is one place you can find customer service work-from-home opportunities from a reputable company that has thousands of independent agents working through them. You’d get to set your own schedule and the application process takes a couple of weeks.
8. Join a Multi-Level Marketing Team
You’ve probably bought items from a Multi-Level Marketing Representative and company before. Things like LipSense, Thirty-one bags, LuLaRoe leggings, Rodan & Fields face products, Young Living essential oils, Mary Kay makeup, Stella & Dot jewelry, Wildtree spices, Thrive shakes, Pampered Chef kitchen gadgets…
If there’s a product line you absolutely love and are passionate about, check into becoming a distributor and selling those things to your friends, family, people in your community, or even online. Check the fine print first so you know the upfront or ongoing investment required before you dive in. If it makes sense, dive in and sell away! Here’s a post I love with the Do’s and Don’ts of Direct Sales.
9. Take Care of Children
A popular job for pregnant women, stay-at-home moms, and even grandmas is to Babysit or Run an In-Home Daycare. As long as we keep having children (and by we, I mean you. I’m done. lol), there will continue to be demand for childcare providers.
Care.com is a popular site for finding people who are looking for childcare. Of course, you can also find kiddos by word of mouth or Facebook too. This is a way you can help other families while taking care of your own children too.
10. Score Online Tests
Another completely online job for pregnant women could be a Test Scorer. These are the people who grade standardized tests, such as the PRAXIS. See if there’s an online test scoring opportunity for you here.

You could be a Coach for anything you are passionate about and turn it into a way to consistently make more money. Here’s a story of a mom who started as a BeachBody Coach while on maternity leave.
21. Write A Book
I officially became an author on my second baby’s due date. It took me about 6 months to complete my book about how to wipe out debt fast, and I was 40-weeks pregnant when I hit publish.
P.S. I wish I had known how many times I was going to publicly share this picture. I had no intention of it when my husband took it. We just wanted to capture the monumental moment when I received my own book in the mail. I finally felt like a legit author! Had I known, I would have put makeup on or something…but that is the real me. T-shirts and yoga pants are how I spend my days with my littles and my computer.
Anyway, if you want to become an author too, here are the steps for how to write a book broken into bite-sized pieces. Grab Jeff Goins’ checklist while you’re there and also snag Authority.pub’s checklist for writing a bestseller. These will be useful to guide you through the process of writing a book, which you can self-publish and sell on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Kobo, and more.
How To Make Money While Pregnant And Unemployed
Struggling to find a way to make money? Do you still need more ideas for how to make money while pregnant and unemployed?
No worries, there are lots of things you can do. Here are some more ways to make money while pregnant, and most are super flexible so they can fit into your schedule.
22. Give Away Free Samples
If you have a friendly or outgoing personality, you can earn $20/hour or more as a Brand Ambassador. I’ve seen plenty of legitimate postings for flexible jobs like this that would be great for anyone who’s unemployed. Read about how to get started as a brand ambassador, what to expect, and where to find these jobs. You usually have to spend a decent amount of time on your feet, but this shouldn’t be a problem for most mamas until the very end of pregnancy.
23. Hang Out With Pets
If you are good with animals, your services are in demand. People will pay decent money for Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers. Read how this woman made $500 per month pet sitting to get out of debt. And this creative lady started an Airbnb for Dogs and earns $200/day.
24. Give Rides With Uber Or Lyft
if you have a car, a driver’s license, and time then use what you have and start making money as an Uber or Lyft Driver before your back seat is full of car seats. This is a side gig my husband started doing. Instead of going out and spending money on Friday and Saturday nights, he uses that time to make extra money. At the time of this writing, his last night out driving he earned $30 / hour. Check out these 11 things to know before driving then if it’s a good fit, start making money by giving rides to others as an Uber or Lyft Driver.
25. Teach What You Know
If you have an educational background or are strong in one subject area, you can use those skills to help tutor in person or online. You can help young kids learn how to read or understand math. Maybe high school students are looking for help studying for a big test like the SAT or ACT. You can tutor college students if you live near a university. Or you can even teach basic English to people on the other side of the world–from the comfort of your home.
You can find people looking for tutors by contacting your local schools (as a school counselor, I often had parents ask for people who tutor), or all of these companies hire online tutors. I’ve heard many success stories from people who make extra money tutoring online through VIP Kid, whether they are pregnant, a stay-at-home mom, or already have a full-time job.
26. Test Websites
Enjoy browsing the web? Like to share your opinion? You can actually make money as a Website Tester…like $200 / month. Learn what a website tester does, tips for being successful, and a bunch of companies that will pay you to test websites.
27. Judge Search Engine Results
Another online job for pregnant women could be a Search Engine Evaluator. Here’s a guy who makes $700 a month with this flexible gig. With this job you’d help search engines show more accurate results by looking at search results on Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc. and judging them by how accurate and relevant they are to your search.
28. Rent Out That Empty Room With Airbnb
If you’re willing to share your space in your home and you live in an area where people travel to, you can make money as an Airbnb host. If hotels go for $200/night in your area, you could earn $150+ night by opening a single room to guests looking to save money while traveling. If your house is clean and not full of noisy children, this may be a way to make money while pregnant. Just don’t rent out the nursery if the only bed in there is a crib. 😉
It’s crunch time. You’re pregnant and need money fast because the baby is on the way. There are one hundred things yet to buy. You’re wearing men’s sweatpants because even your leggings feel too tight. You need cash and you need it fast. Here’s how to make money while pregnant without much effort:
29. Take Surveys
While taking surveys will not replace a full-time income, you can make extra money pretty easily. Plus, these are things you can do even if you’re pregnant on bedrest or just trying to kill time in the waiting room at the doctor’s office.
Hot tip #1: Create an email address just for taking surveys or create a filter so all messages from the survey companies go to a specific tab. That way you can check that spot once or twice per day when you’re ready for survey activities, without filling your main inbox.
Who will pay you for your opinion?
Legitimate Online Survey Companies:
Pinecone Research is a trusted leader in the survey panel industry. This site pays you $3 for every survey you take and you only need a $3 balance to get paid. There is a specific app for Pinecone Research too, so you can take surveys while you’re killing time in the waiting room for all your doctor appointments.
Pinecone is also great because you can get paid in your PayPal account, check, or through gift cards, and it seems much faster than other survey sites. Go here to sign up and see if you qualify.
If you sign up for Survey Momma, they search through thousands of surveys to find the most relevant and top-paying ones for you. They don’t have all of the survey sites, as they are missing a few of the well-known legitimate ones, but they do have lots to choose from…and the service is free. So if you want access to lots of survey sites all in one spot, then Survey Momma might be a good community for you to check out.
InboxDollars will give you $5 just for signing up. Then you can earn more cash (a little at a time) by answering questions, playing games, watching TV and movies, browsing the web through the InboxDollars search engine, entering into sweepstakes, reading emails, and checking out products and services on the web. You can collect the money you’ve earned once you earn $30.
Even if you get disqualified for a survey, you win a spin on Billy’s Spin and Win wheel, so you still earn a little something. Use the InboxDollars mobile app for Android or for iOS so you can earn money answering questions, playing games, or reading emails whenever you have a few minutes to spare.
Swagbucks is another site where you can get paid up to $35 to take surveys, watch videos, and play games. You can also use the Swagbucks search engine for your internet browsing or add the Swagbucks button to rack up points even faster.
You get $10 for signing up and buying something through one of their store links. Use their link to buy something you’d buy anyway and that’s an extra $10 fast with hardly any effort. You’ll redeem your Swagbucks and get paid in gift cards.
Another place to take surveys to make money while pregnant is Survey Junkie. Survey Junkie is known for offering high points for their surveys and a good user experience on their site. They are also generous with points by giving you a few points even if you get disqualified from a survey (which not every site does). Once you reach $10, you can cash out your points for money.
30. Sell Everything and Anything
If you’re pregnant and need money super fast, sell anything you absolutely don’t need. You would be surprised what people will pay for. Your clothes. Your purses. Holiday decorations. Your plasma. Like I said, just about anything. I made over $200 just last month selling stuff on Facebook buy & sell groups.
Here’s what you can sell:
- things you already own but don’t need or use
- things you make
- things you find cheap and flip for a profit
And here’s where you can sell those things:
- eBay – Learn how to sell on eBay and earn thousands from the expert Flea Market Flippers. Grab their FREE 5-day course while you’re there to see if flipping is a good fit for you.

- Varage Sale – Watch how easy it is to post an item on this Virtual Garage Sale.

- Amazon – Start your own FBA business and sell on Amazon
- Etsy – Crafty? Made something then heard, “You should sell those”? Here’s a video tutorial for exactly how to start your own Etsy shop.
31. Use Rebates & Cashback Apps
You might as well make sure you’re getting as much cash back you can on your purchases by using these tools. You’ll get rebates on groceries, cleaning supplies, toiletries, clothes, travel, wholesale memberships, pet supplies, and alcoholic beverages. There’s a way to get cash back on just about any purchase using these:
- EBATES – Sign up here to get your BONU$. Get big fat checks in the mail every few months for your online purchases no matter how big or small your balance is. Install the EBATES browser extension so you never forget to get your cash back while shopping online.
- Ibotta – Find rebate coupons for everything you need. Shop. Take a picture of your receipt. Get cash in your PayPal account once you reach $20. Sign up for Ibotta to save on groceries and more today.
- Swagbucks – Sometimes you can get a higher % back on your purchases if you go through Swagbucks instead of EBATES. The thing is you earn Swagbucks, which turn into gift cards. EBATES’ returns are straight cash. It’s really what you prefer. If you sign up for Swagbucks you can compare and see which you like better. Either way, it’s money back = a win.
