I’ve taken many Virtual Assistant Courses that teach you how to become a virtual assistant and work from home. I was skeptical of the Savvy System, but after I finished the entire course, I discovered many pros–and some cons. I’ll sum up everything you need to know to decide if it’s right for you in my honest Savvy System review.
The SavvySystem is a popular online virtual assistant training program by Abbey Ashley. It teaches how to work from home as a virtual assistant step-by-step. Many graduates land their first client within 90 days. The SavvySystem Accelerator is the new, guided version, which pairs the proven curriculum with coaching, accountability, and step-by-step support.
This SavvySystem review was originally based on a slightly older version of the SavvySystem course. As of late January 2026, it has changed to the SavvySystem Accelerator, which will combines the proven Virtual Assistant training material with a 90-day group coaching program focused strictly on launching. This is an exciting change and will help even more aspiring Virtual Assistants take those pivotal first action steps. However, please be aware since the setup is now different, some information below may have changed. I am doing my best to keep it updated. -Val
The Accelerator group coaching is now CLOSED for ENROLLMENT, but you can access the free training below to learn Abbey’s exact method for earning a full-time income from home.

THE SAVVY SYSTEM COURSE REVIEW
SPOILER ALERT! I was blown away by this course, but I don’t think it’s right for everyone.

WHO IS THIS COURSE REVIEWER?
If we haven’t met yet, I’m Val, and here are a few fun facts about me:
- I’m somewhat of an online course junkie, especially those that teach you how to make money from home.
- I’m a full-time stay-at-home mom of two littles, who started working from home as a virtual assistant with no prior experience nearly ten years ago.
- I’m frugal, but see value in investing in certain things that make life significantly better.
- I’m obsessed with reviews. I read tons before buying anything, so it’s time I return the favor to all those people who take the time to write reviews and write some of my own.
IS THE SAVVY SYSTEM A SCAM?
No, the Savvy System Virtual Assistant Program is not a scam nor is it a get-rich-quick scheme. I’ve personally taken the course, been in the support group, and talked with Abbey Ashley and her team.
The video trainings teach you what to do to start and grow a successful online virtual assistant business.
No matter what course you take, results are not easy, guaranteed, or handed to you. Making money as a virtual assistant requires work and ongoing effort from you after you pay the course fee, but the SavvySystem is certainly not a scam.
WHAT IS THE SAVVY SYSTEM ACCELERATOR?
The SavvySystem Accelerator is the new, guided version of the signature virtual assistant training program. It pairs the proven curriculum with group coaching, accountability, and step-by-step support with one goal in mind: HELP YOU LAND YOUR FIRST PAYING CLIENT IN 90 DAYS OR LESS.
Inside the Accelerator, you get:
- 90-day guided path focused strictly on launching
- Weekly live coaching and accountability
- 90-day access to a private Kajabi community with other VAs in the “launch” stage of their business
- SavvyBot – your AI-powered on-demand assistant
Plus, all the templates, resources, and processes you need to start your Virtual Assistant business.
SAVVY SYSTEM ACCELERATOR vs THE OLD VERSION
Some of the information in the pros and cons below is based on the old version of the course, SavvySystem (legacy course), which had more material, took longer to complete, and cost more. It was self-paced and included resources for launching, growing, and scaling your Virtual Assistant business.
The Accelerator is a 90-day guided program designed only for those who want to get their first virtual assistant client.
Key differences:
- Accelerator includes weekly coaching and accountability (SavvySystem legacy did not)
- Accelerator includes SavvyBot, your AI-powered VA launch assistant
- Accelerator focuses strictly on Launch content (no advanced growing or scaling content)
- Accelerator includes 90 days of access (with optional extensions through The Savvy Promise)
- SavvySystem legacy includes lifetime access to all the content inside your dashboard (is not available for purchase after December 31, 2025)
- Accelerator’s standard price is $597 or 3 payments of $227
THE SAVVY SYSTEM ACCELERATOR REVIEW PROS
Let’s dive into what’s good about the Savvy System program.
1. THE SAVVY SYSTEM COVERS ALL THE STEPS TO LAND YOUR FIRST CLIENT
This 90-day guided program walks you through all the steps for brand new people wondering, “What exactly is a virtual assistant and how do they make money?” to “What kind of services could I offer?”
It also includes a timeline, weekly coaching calls, and replay videos because life happens.
Here’s a checklist of 101 Services You Can Offer as a Virtual Assistant!
2. THE SAVVY SYSTEM IS VIDEO-BASED
If you’re a visual learner, you’ll love that this course is based on high-quality, video-based lessons and weekly live coaching calls. Abbey and the team regularly livestream on their YouTube channel. It’s like they’re right in the room with you, walking you through everything, step-by-step.
3. REPLAYS ARE AVAILABLE
Showing up live is best, but things can get busy, and that’s when replays are awesome.
So even if you can’t always join the live coaching and accountability calls, you can still keep moving forward by watching replays.
4. ONGOING SUPPORT
Inside the Accelerator, you will get ongoing support from Abbey and the team. You can get support inside the private Kajabi community with other VAs in the “launch” stage of their business, or you can email them anytime. Either way, you won’t go through it alone.
5. THE SAVVY SYSTEM IS INCLUSIVE FOR MEN, WOMEN, THOSE WHO LIVE IN THE U.S., AND THOSE WHO LIVE OUTSIDE THE U.S.
Even though Abbey is a mom living in the United States, she has added tips and resources for aspiring virtual assistants who live outside the United States. There are also more men in this virtual assistant community than I’ve seen in other VA course communities.
6. THE SAVVY SYSTEM TEMPLATES SAVE A LOT OF TIME
Templates are perfect for busy moms. They save so much time because you don’t have to create something from scratch or ask a question and wait for a reply. I could not believe there were so many templates and scripts for landing and working with clients.
7. THE SAVVY SYSTEM GIVES YOU TOOLS TO KEEP YOU ON TRACK
Students get checklists, contracts, and tracking tools that are easy to use and help keep you focused, moving forward, and on track. This is another major time saver because you don’t have to figure it out on your own. They are created for you and given to you!
8. THE SAVVYSYSTEM ACCELERATOR INCLUDES JOB LEADS AND OPPORTUNITIES
The private SavvySystem community is an awesome place to ask questions, get answers, get direct access to the Savvy team, plus, there are private job opportunities! This is included in the course fee; it’s not an extra charge.
9. THE SAVVY PROMISE
The Accelerator is designed to help you land your first client in 90 days, but because life happens, it sometimes takes longer to secure that first client. That’s when The Savvy Promise is a gracious addition.
Here’s how it works: If you participate fully in the 90-day Accelerator, take the required steps, and stay engaged – and you still don’t land your first paying client – you can request an additional 90 days of support inside the Accelerator.
You may do this twice, meaning you can receive up to 9 months total of guided support at no extra charge. That is a huge perk of the Accelerator program.
10. THE SAVVY SYSTEM WORKS FOR SIDE HUSTLERS OR FULL-TIMERS
Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom looking for a flexible way to earn some extra money on the side or you’re hoping to replace your full-time income by working from home, the Savvy System can work for both situations. You can work full-time if you want, but you do NOT need to work 40 hours per week to earn legitimate money as a virtual assistant.
THE SAVVY SYSTEM REVIEW CONS
Now, nothing is perfect, so let’s be real about the downsides of Savvy System.
1. THE SAVVY SYSTEM TAKES TIME TO COMPLETE
Starting something new like launching a virtual assistant business takes time. The training videos and assignments are like a mini college degree. Although the old SavvySystem course included more material for all stages of a virtual assistant business, it took a lot more time, so this Accelerator program with a more narrow focus will actually take a lot less time to complete. Plus, it’s broken down into manageable assignments with accountability calls to help keep you on track and hopefully, land your first client in 90 days or less.
2. THE SAVVY SYSTEM REQUIRES BASIC TECH SKILLS
There are no specialty technology skills required for the SavvySystem compared to other courses, but I need to note that if you want to work from home online, you need to have internet and some basic computer skills. Knowing how to create accounts and log in, check emails, download files, follow directions, and troubleshoot are essential virtual assistant skills.
3. THE SAVVY SYSTEM IS NOT CHEAP
The Savvy System program is not a cheap, surface-level course. The current standard price is $597. However, there is a payment plan option, and it’s more affordable than the old legacy course was. Plus, sometimes an investment that scares you a little is exactly the motivation you need to make sure you follow through because you have some ‘skin in the game.’
WHAT DOES THE SAVVY SYSTEM COVER?
This may have changed slightly with the new Accelerator course, but it should give you an idea of what to expect.
WELCOME SERIES
The welcome videos introduce you to the program, show you around, and answer common questions new students have.

IS THE SAVVY SYSTEM WORTH IT?
So, with all things considered, is the Savvy System virtual assistant program worth it? It depends…
NO…
For the person who won’t make time to take the course and do the action steps, or for the person who wants to make money but doesn’t want to do any work, NO! Save your money because this course isn’t a ticket to an automatic paycheck.
If you’re just looking for free information, download this virtual assistant checklist & starter kit, binge on YouTube videos or get a free trial of Skillshare. You get what you pay for, though.
YES…
For the person who is serious about how to make money from home as a virtual assistant, who wants the step-by-step action plan laid out, who wants to see how someone else does it, who will follow the steps, and use the community support to help if you reach an obstacle, YES!
Abbey has a lot to offer. She started a virtual assistant business from scratch, while pregnant and looking for a way to make money from home. Over time, she went from a newbie to earning $10,000 per month with subcontractors!
It’s taken her years to figure out what she’s learned and gather it all together in a step-by-step program. Plus, the Facebook community with other VAs where you can ask questions, get support, and get job leads.
This program is the same price as top competitors, yet I honestly think the SavvySystem is more valuable because it includes more. So, the price point for a comprehensive course like this is not out of line with the value it provides. This course has helped change individual lives and families!

FULLY BOOKED VIRTUAL ASSISTANT VS THE VIRTUAL SAVVY SYSTEM COURSE
You might have heard of another course, Fully Booked Virtual Assistant (previously known as 30 days or Less to Virtual Assistant Success) by Gina Horkey, and wondered how it compares to the Savvy System.
I’ve personally taken both courses and have a lot of respect for both women. But if you’re trying to decide which one is best for you, here’s my take.
WHAT’S THE SAME?
Both will teach you the basics to get started as a virtual assistant, including selecting which services you should offer, how much money you should charge, and how to find clients.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT?
- FBVA is more text-based and way less video
- FBVA has some video, but many were interviews of other people with their own courses to sell
- FBVA has quizzes along the way, a final exam. Both offer certificates of completion.
- FBVA has 13 templates/scripts while the Savvy System has 25+ companion guides, templates, and worksheets
- FBVA does not cover health insurance, taxes, money mindset, or resources for those outside the U.S. but Savvy Systems covers all of this
- If you do the Savvy System Ultimate Package, there are 50+ Amazing Tech & Specialty Courses for VAs & Freelancers to advance your tech skills!
- SavvyVault Tech Team offers Unlimited Tech Support
- Unlimited access to the SavvyVault Community
- SavvySystem offers monthly exclusive interviews with Industry Experts
Some students are successful from the basic information inside FBVA, but while they both look like similar virtual assistant courses on the outside, you’re not comparing apples to apples when you look behind the curtain at what’s inside.
TO SAVVY OR NOT TO SAVVY?
That’s the entire SavvySystem course review in a nutshell. The pros, cons, and how it compares to other virtual assistant courses. Now it’s time to hop off the fence and confidently decide if the Savvy System Accelerator program is right for you.
If you’re ready to learn how to become a virtual assistant with the SavvySystem, you’re in luck. You can enroll now to join the Savvy System Accelerator group. After this enrollment period closes, you’ll have to hop on a waitlist to wait for the next coaching session to start.
If you still have any questions that you want to ask someone who’s been inside but isn’t the course creator, feel free to email me anytime. I have taken many online courses and am happy to help you figure out if the Savvy System or another course is right for you.
Best wishes on your virtual assistant and work-from-home journey!
